Last night was the official A Tasteful Affair 21 Kick Off Party.  I'd like to thank our hosts, Jeana and Buddy Reisinger and also all the great volunteers that helped make the night happen.  Sponsors, hosts, committee members and ATA21 Food donors enjoyed a fantastic evening of getting more information about the event of the season: A Tasteful Affair 21!

"Gift baskets are amazing, Phyllis.  Gift baskets are the essence of class and fanciness.  They are the ultimate present that a person can receive."  -Michael Scott from The Office

That's right!  Gift baskets are all the rage at A Tasteful Affair.  I am currently seeking generous individuals to put together a basket to honor or celebrate a loved one or a special occasion.  You pick the person, the reason and the theme of the basket!  A Hannah Montana basket in honor of your daughter?  A wine basket to commemorate your anniversary?  Cards gear in memory of your favorite fan?  It all goes-and it all goes to a great cause, Food Outreach!

If you are interested in donating a basket for auction, please contact Justin O'Neal at justin@foodoutreach.org.  All baskets are needed by Friday, March 27.

Thanks!

One of my favorite elements of A Tasteful Affair is the gigantic auction.  This year, to spice things up, I thought it might be fun to "register" for items we can auction.  I don't plan on meeting my Can Lady anytime soon, so I hopped on Target and Crate & Barrel and registered for some fun items on "Club Wed."  You can click either of these links:  TARGET or Crate & Barrel and simply "Click n' Ship" your donation which will be 100% tax deductible.

Thanks!

Welcome to the first blog to document my trek towards A Tasteful Affair (ATA).  This is the 21st year of the event, and this year, the event goes GAME SHOW!  Think Let's Make a Meal!  Being the mascot of ATA for the past 3 years, I decided it was high time I let you all in the inside secrets behind the event.  The True Hollywood Story, if you will.  Check back often for updates on exciting auction items, culinary crews that will participate, and exciting new elements of everyone's favorite annual event.
